1-800-HEAVEN “THE SHOT THAT STARTED IT ALL OFF”
Just a few months ago, there was a tragic shooting. Millions loved the victim. He was respected by many and hated by others. He was a firebrand for his support of conservatism and an outspoken follower of Jesus. He had a great love for college-age people, especially those who were curious. He combined both sides of his active life into one seamlessly without apology. On campuses across this nation, he answered questions from a conservative perspective, grounding his responses in his understanding of the word of God.
Then one day, he was no more. Left behind was confusion that took many forms—some good, but mostly bad. There was a horrendous amount of confusion in every area. People took sides, but many did not know why they chose a certain path, whether driven by anger, speculation about events, or, most importantly, a search for a reason why such a devastating event occurred in the first place. With everything upside down, voices broke through the noise, and then there was scrambling to find understanding, and God seemed to be the only choice for many. Or was it God?
In this teaching, I want to lay out a path to understanding what comes after. First, I want everyone to understand that God is not the God of confusion, distraction, or destruction. God is the God of order. When God moves, He moves with purpose. All that He does has an outcome that brings life, not death.
So, with that said, I want to give those who are seeking the truth biblical teaching founded in the Word of God and backed by scripture, so that you can read and understand.
THE CREATION:
Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth”
1:2 “And the earth was without form, and void, and the darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit moved upon the face of the waters.”
1 JOHN 1:1-3 What was from the beginning, what we have hears, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our own hands, concerning the Word of Life- and the life was manifest, and and we have seen and testified and proclaimed to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to ub- what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us. Indeed, our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
In these few verses, I have revealed to you the Creator of all things, His Spirit that brought all creation into being, and Jesus, the Son of God, for whom it was all created.
If you are looking for anything else, you are looking in the wrong place. If you are looking for something that speaks to you about anything or anyone else except God, you are looking in the wrong place. If you are looking for an organization, a gathering, a place of worship, you are looking for the wrong thing. Suppose you have attached yourself to a church, synagogue, temple, or fellowship that does not, in turn, point you to the cross of Calvary where Jesus died for your sins. All you have found is just another way to hell, being separated from the Creator of all things, and yes, I mean all things, including you. Straight talk, nothing else. If you understand that, you're probably wondering how it all came together and why this is so important. Read on, and you will find a to-the-point teaching that explains everything you need to know.
After God brought all things into existence and organized them according to his wisdom, God said, “Let us make man in our image and likeness.” In saying that, he made man from the dust of the earth. God formed his body, gave him a soul, breathed the breath of life into his spirit, and made him a living being. He was perfect in every way. Thus, man became a three-part being, having a body, a soul, and a living spirit. Because he was perfect, the fellowship he was made for was possible, and he walked with God in the garden. God named him Adam.
God soon took one of Adam’s ribs and formed a woman to be his helpmate. Adam called her Eve. She was also perfect in every way until she rebelled against God and ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Then she gave it to Adam, and he also took it and ate, sealing humanity’s downfall from grace and introducing sin into humanity. That act darkened humanity’s spirit, and from that point on, all men born were born in sin.
So, with this simple explanation, we see that humanity could not enter into a close relationship and fellowship with the Creator because of sin. That brought an eternal separation between humanity and the God who created him, so that close fellowship could no longer be shared. Something had to be done to correct this situation, and it happened many centuries later.
Now, what humanity has been looking for is a way to God. Throughout the centuries, there have been thousands of ways thought up to accomplish this, but making a path to the creator is not a job man can do. Oh, many have tried; organizations have been built, religions have been started, but over two thousand years ago, God sent his son to be the path that no man could make. His name is Jesus. He became the Christ, or the sacrifice, to bridge the gap between man and God. That is what everyone is seeking. This path is clear, but its understanding must be explained. And this is the next part of this teaching.
You have probably heard the next scripture many times, but now you need clarification on it. Again, the simplicity is overwhelming, as it can only be understood by someone who desires the truth.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Remember what you read before, man was made perfect. Full of life without sin. Sin came in and darkened his spirit. There needs to be someone to conquer sin and restore life to man. Jesus was that sacrifice for your sin and the sins of the entire world. But here is what is important: God made man with a self-will. He didn’t create robots. Man chose to rebel against his Creator. Man still chooses sin over obedience and the love of a loving God. But Jesus has given His life, and He offers salvation through Him. The word is clear;
JOHN 14: 6 “JESUS SAID TO HIM, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.”
Now, remember what you read before. If anyone tells you to go here or there, they have the answer. No, he has the answer. Go to this church or that one. These are distractions. You must first go to Jesus with a searching heart, because His is the only truth that will supply the ways you are looking for. Don’t be fooled. There might be many places that say, come here. We have all the right services, the right structure, and the help you need for everything that might be bothering you. No, no, no, Jesus is the only way to the Father.
Ok, now you might say that I could be wrong. Yes, you are right, but the WORD OF GOD IS NEVER WRONG. That is why I cite scripture for every statement I make.
This last scripture sheds light on everything Jesus said;
“I am the Way, not a way.
“The Truth’, Not a truth.
“And the Life”, YES, THE LIFE.
The life that Adam and Eve had in the beginning was life in their spirit. The only way that can happen in you and me is to receive Christ Jesus into our hearts.
Now I have presented the facts that cover from creation to the only path to the creator of life. Now it is up to you to choose wisely. Eternity has only two destinations: eternity with God in his heaven or eternal separation from God and spending eternity with the one who brought sin into humanity, satan. His final resting place is in the lake of fire, and all those who reject Christ will be with him.
As I said, I will not hold anything back. Now you have it all. IT’S DECISION TIME.
