It has been my honor to serve the Lord for all these 55 years in many capacities in the church. At times, tasks such as cleaning toilets and painting fellowship walls for extended periods were far from glamorous, yet necessary, and had to be completed. There were times we built buildings and planted gardens for a harvest that was essential for people with low incomes in our area. I have traveled long distances to preach the word to tiny groups, and sometimes to a hospital room to hold a hand that needed assurance that Jesus was coming for them. Some of these times were joyful, and some were heartbreaking, but all were essential to my growth in Christ and to the body of Christ.
From the heart of the Amazon in Peru, I had the privilege of preaching to the very first graduating class of a new Bible college in a small village—people deeply thirsty for the Word from the Creator of the breathtaking land they call home. Where some might see poverty, they saw a precious gift from God, a blessing woven into every part of their lives.
I experienced humbling moments not only in the bustling streets of Lima but also in the remote highlands of Kenya, where the vast desert stretched endlessly before us—reminding me of God’s infinite power and grace. In Nigeria, village after village opened their humble huts to me, welcoming me with open hearts and gratitude that someone had journeyed so far to share the love of Christ with them. To them, this was more than a message—it was a personal encounter. They believed God had sent me just for them, to remind them of His unending love and faithfulness.
These moments of connection, so intimate and profound, touched my soul and renewed my own faith in the boundless reach of God’s grace.
But now I find myself in my old age as god’s scribe. I get in front of my computer and write what he shows me. I bring my experiences with Him, in all the places and the works he had me do, into the thing he has me write. My life is all in these pages of this website. Even heartbreak and sorrow are here because, without them, it would all be just a bunch of words.
Now, what is the reason for this page I have hidden behind a special title? The reason is simple: I have been directed by the Holy Spirit to get these pages to as many people as possible all over the world. These teachings and encouragement are meant to lift the body of Christ and to urge God’s people toward maturity. To supply words that will cause thought for those who are not progressing to maturity as they should be, and to those who are seeking answers, answers stated. Most importantly, to those who do not know Christ, that they may find him in these words.
With all that said, I want to encourage you to add your efforts to this work and partner with me in delivering the word of understanding to people who open these pages. I am not a corporation subject to our government's rules in exchange for freedom, so as not to pay taxes. I am an individual and function as a teacher, not a preacher in a church structure. I cannot provide a tax deduction. I have never believed in living my Christian life under the oversight of a worldly entity. I also only ask that you support me for only one reason, that the word of God is given freely as the Lord has directed, freely you have received, freely give. That is His directive.
I only ask this one thing: That you only give what the Holy Spirit urges you to give, nothing more, nothing less, and only after serious prayer. God knows what is needed to advertise this website worldwide. Every cent he gives through it will go directly to the advertising program and the books that I am writing. Never donate to something you have no confidence in or any belief in what is written.
With that said, I thank you for reading this and bless you for listening with an open heart. May the Lord bless you in your reading of his word and cause you to be as he has called you. His plan is not complete without you, and neither is my life fulfilled without your prayers.
The following scriptures address the honoring of the men and women who are called of God to preach and teach. The gifts they receive are for their sustenance so that they may continue to do what God has called them to do. I myself live on my veteran disability payment and Social Security. These donations are far beyond what my retirement can supply. All the finances needed will come by God’s grace and cover those costs.
1 Timothy 5:17
“The elders who rule well are to be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.”
This is the most direct New Covenant statement. Paul ties honor to labor, and specifically to preaching and teaching. “Double honor” includes both respect and material support — the idea that those who pour themselves out in the Word should be sustained by the people they serve.
Luke 10:7
“…for the laborer is worthy of his wages.”
Jesus Himself said this when sending out the seventy. Paul later quotes this exact line in 1 Timothy 5:18 to reinforce the principle that those who minister the Word should receive support for their work.
