1-800-HEAVEN WHO IS GOD?

This is the most difficult question anyone can attempt to answer. You can’t go to a historical society, look up facts about the God of the Bible, and come away with an answer that clearly gives you a picture of who He is, where He came from, and what he has been doing for all His existence. If you want me to answer the question about every other god that people throughout history have worshiped, that is as easy as reading a book cover. But when people ask, “WHO IS GOD,” they are specifically asking about the God of creation. People around the world never make a specific attempt to seek out and answer what their God created out of thin air. Wait, that still wouldn’t be real, because thin air is a created thing, and only the God of the Bible is known for creating something out of nothing. 

The best way is to point out what is all around us: the trees, the sky, the earth, and the far reaches of the universe, which telescopes keep showing are limited in trying to find the limits of what is out there. Scientists have failed to describe creation, so they have created a thing called THE BIG BANG THEORY. So now they have resigned themselves to trying to see back as far as they can to find the exact time that the big boom happened. The problem is that the things out there keep expanding, so they have to build a bigger telescope to try to see what they don’t understand. 

In my first years in Bible college, I came across a book that opened my eyes to how a man's arrogance led him to salvation. The writer was an eye surgeon of great reputation, so brilliant that he wanted to prove to his Christian friend that there was no God. The book's name was “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.” It is still in print. If you want to, get a copy. Your life will never be the same. Well, his friend challenged him to study the Bible and see how great the God of the Bible is. He took on the challenge. In doing so, he came face to face with Jesus and wrote the book, showing the intricacies of the one thing he knew best: the human eye. He broke down every part of the functioning eye, and he concluded that only the Creator of all things created this wonderful thing, the human body.

After I read this book, I concluded that the only way to explain who God was is to point out the magnificent structure of all that He built. This is where I concluded that the Word is true; God spoke everything into existence by His word. All the matter that was spoken into existence became His material to create everything we see. When He made Adam, He used clay. After God breathed His breath of life into Adam, he became a living being. The Word tells us that because of God we are fearfully and wonderfully made. That is because we were made in His image and likeness. The Word of God states that God reveals His character as compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love towards His creation. Ex 34:6-7

God is eternal, existing before creation and everlasting. Ps. 90:2

There is no change in God; He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The following is just a small portion of what is created in the human body.

  1. The smallest building block of the body is the Atom. The human body has over 7 octillion Atoms (7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000). That all comes from the soil under our feet, made up of Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen, all basic elements of Earth's soil.
  2. Those Atoms combine into trillions of molecules: water, proteins, DNA
  3. The body contains around 37 trillion cells
  4. The cells join to create tissues, each with its own structure, making muscles, nerves, bone, and blood.
  5. The body has 79 organs, each specialized; the heart pumps 2,000 gallons of blood each day. If you live modestly 70 years, that’s 51,100,000 gallons in a lifetime. Lungs exchange oxygen 20,000 times per day. Kidneys filter 150 quarts of blood per day. The brain processes more information per day than any computer ever built.
  6. Organs are joined into systems: 11 majors in all. Circulatory, respiratory, nervous, digestive, immune, endocrine, skeletal, muscular, reproductive, urinary, integumentary (skin).

All of this was formed with gentleness and love by the hands of our Creator, God.

THEN HE BREATHED LIFE INTO THE LUNGS OF HIS CREATION, AND MAN BECAME A LIVING BEING, PERFECT IN ALL HIS WAYS; HE CREATED HIM.

There is only one God who created; all that he has done; everything we see, no big bang could have created.

It is with deep concern for you that I write about our Creator. He has not changed, and He is always there to receive you and me if only we ask. His free gift of salvation came at a price. He took all our sins upon Himself and allowed His creation to nail Him to the Cross so He could die and bring us close to Him. Man has free will, and God respects it and will never take it from us. His desire is that you see how great a gift He has for you, so you would respond with gratitude and surrender to His love. Once you do, you become a new creation. You are no longer separated from Him and become a spiritual being as Adam was in the garden. The word is true, FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE IN HIM.
